A photograph is worth a thousand words. Poetry paints word pictures using poetic imagery. On their own, they each are exquisite. Combined they become something else a€“ a powerful composition that blends the best of both. That is what happens in this book. The author is inspired by the image, and from it, poetry flows to dance and enhance the whole upon the page. Images from the eye of a photographer that translate to the mind of the poet. The wonder here is that both are the same. The photographer is the poet. Here is an excerpt from Poem #16, Goldfinches Feeding. Three golden birds with golden song Flew in to eat sunflower seed. Bright feathers flashing color creed Of deepest hue to come along. I hope they feel that they belong In my backyard. Ia€™ll feed their need. Three golden birds with golden song Flew in to eat sunflower seed.It can have no, or any, rhyme scheme. There is no specific requirement for meter, For this poem, I did use a rhyme scheme, The rhyme scheme is: aabbab. | Wrote it With mixed ... Caesura: line 3, line 8, line 9, line 11, line 12, line 15, line 18.
