Beheaded Zombie – Schastiye dlya vseh. Full-length on Bad Mood Man Music.
Beheaded Zombie is a Russian Death Metal band that has been around since 2002 and this is their fourth full-length album. The title of the album apparently means "Happiness for all", which is sort of s strange title for a Death Metal album, the coves sort of follows the title. It is a silhouette of a human, black on a white background, hanged up like a puppet with the logo in the foreground in several bright colours. I have no idea what the lyrics are about since they all seems to be in Russian. The music is very technical Death Metal with a lot of aggression and melodies. If i where to pinpoint any specific influence I would say the type of Death Metal that has predominantly been created in the United States of America during the last 15 or so years. Very technical, with a lot of strange riffs with a lot of twist and turns, a lot of tempo-changes. But the music has a quite coherent feel, and the melodic sensibility makes this album tolerable. I am not that into technical Death Metal, I want my music raw, but this I can actually listen to. Not a bad album, for those that want their Death Metal, aggressive, melodic and technical. |
