Re123+ – Magi. Full-length on Bad Mood Man Music.
Well if you are looking for slow droning music look no further. Re123 (yes that is their name, it is not a typo) is a four-piece hailing from Belarus, and that is all I know about the band. The music is mainly slow droning Doom Metal. Monotonous and repetitive with a raw and filthy edge soaked in strange and incoherent darkness. This is a very strange record. Like I said before the music is mainly Droning Doom Metal but there is also an elements of Post-Rock in the music. Which for me is quite an odd combination. They also use some quite unorthodox instruments, like the accordion for instance. There is a sense of structured chaos to the music, with a lot of different things combined creating something quite unique and dark. I can not really make any comparisons to any other band's music, but know that if you are into slow and droning music this is for you. |
